In a week’s time I’m going to be somewhere in the North of England, walking the breadth of the Country, along the path of Hadrian’s Wall.
Why?
Personal challenge in part but, more importantly, to support the work of Hearing Dogs, the Charity that brought the much loved Rufus into my life.
It’s hard for a hearing person to perhaps appreciate what life is like without that sense.
Rufus makes so much in my life possible. He tells me about all of those things you can work out for yourself, because you can hear.
He keeps me safe.
Sadly, the walk is too far for Rufus to accompany me as he has a poorly leg at the moment, so he is going to be staying with a friend who will no doubt spoil him rotten whilst I am treading a weary path in all weathers…….. He will be missed.
I am fundraising for the Hearing Dogs charity and you can find my Just Giving page here.
I, Rufus, the Charity and the many people out there who are waiting for their own Hearing Dog, are grateful for all and any support.
Thank you!
